It is the start of another year and with that comes the urge to make promises to ourselves to change something in our lives. I know as I am one who starts every year doing just that....making promises to myself in hopes when the year ends I have accomplished something.....and I do....just not everything
And yes, it usually ends up being a 'first week in January' to do list. With that thought in mind, we tend to act fast to accomplish the goals we set out not taking the time to process our thoughts into a plan for a smooth end result.
I have been guilty of this, especially when it comes to organizing my home or my life. I have, many times, created a vision of how I would like to see my life and instead of going through the motions of processing an idea and living with it, making gradual changes, I just dove in and sometimes with consequences...earning less money before I was ready to....making the move to 'small' living while still hanging on to the many material items in my life (the cost of a large storage locker for a year is an eye opener).....getting rid of stuff that, in the heat of the moment, did not give me joy and the next day regret the decision when I desired that cup of espresso, felt like baking some muffins or wear those clunky winter boots on a real cold day that actually kept my feet warm.
So remember as we begin a new year and you set out to implement your new start....do not rush so that you do not regret.
Throughout the year I will share tips on how to slowly transiition when it comes to organizing your home, your business and your life.
May 2017 be your best year yet
